The settings page for the MacroView Mail is opened using the cog in the top right of the pane.
The setting page will differ depending on whether you open it from the Save to SharePoint or Insert Attachment function and whether or not you are have a Corporate License.
From the setting pane you can disable or enable steps in the save process to provide the optimum save experience as well as specify the SharePoint email content type, define whether the default insert attachment type is a file or a link and access support and licensing information.
Show welcome screen
This screen is enabled by default and determines whether or not the Welcome Screen is displayed each time you save a new email. This can also be disabled by un-checking the Keep showing this welcome screen option when the welcome screen is displayed.
Show warning message when email metadata is not being saved
By default when the selected content type does not contains the metadata columns used to record the email metadata, such as To, From, Subject etc., a notification message is displayed providing information on how to add these.
You can enable or disable this warning with this setting.
Automatically close when uploading
By default after each email is saved the File uploading screen is displayed providing confirmation of the save and an option to open the location where the file was saved. You may not want this screen to be displayed after each email is saved so that you can just get on with saving the next email. You can enable or disable the File uploading screen as required.
Items selected for saving
This drop down menu allows you to set whether the email message and its attachments, just the email attachments or just the email message are selected by default when saving an email.
If the email you are saving does not contain any attachments and you do not have the welcome screen enabled, the MacroView Mail App knows that you can only be saving the email message and will skip the Select items to save screen and navigate straight to the Select where to save step making saving emails without attachments even faster.
Email file name format
All emails saved using the MacroView Mail App are saved in EML format which preserves the original email and any attachments.
The default email file name format prevents duplication of emails within any single location in SharePoint Online (Office 365). The default setting cannot be changed. However it is still possible to change the filename when saving the email. See MacroView Mail App default email filename format for more information.
Email content type
This setting allows you to specify the default SharePoint content type to be used when saving emails that do not include attachments.
If your Email content type has been set up with columns that are recognised by the MacroView Mail App the emails metadata such as To, From, Subject, Received Time etc. will be recorded automatically.
For more information refer to MacroView columns required to capture-email metadata
Favorites subscription URL
This setting is available when your organisation has a Corporate License for MacroView Mail. When the URL to a site containing Macroview Push Favorites Subscription list is entered here a Subscriptions group will be added to the Select where to save panel providing shortcuts to any locations registered in the list.
For more information refer to MacroView Push Favorites for SharePoint Online and Teams
Move emails to folder after saving
When this setting is enabled and the name of an Outlook folder is specified under Folder display name, each email that is saved by the MacroView Mail App is moved automatically to the specified folder in Outlook eliminating the need to cleanup your Inbox.
Enable Corporate Email Filing
This setting is available when your organisation has a Corporate License for MacroView Mail. When enabled and the Rules File URL points to a MacroView Corporate Email Filing rule file, the save location is selected automatically when an email matches a rule or contains a filing tag in its subject.
Note: Corporate email filing rules are only checked when the Welcome Screen is turned off and the Items selected for saving option is either Email message only or Email message and attachments when the email does not contain any attachments.
Insert attachments as link
This setting allows you to specify whether clicking on the name of a file when inserting files into emails, will insert the file as a link instead of an attachment. You can also choose to insert the file as either an attachment or a link from the three dots to the right of the file.
