MacroView DMF and Message will automatically select the default view defined in SharePoint for a library when the library or any of its folders or document sets are selected. The 'Sticky Views' and 'Folder Name Views' options in DMF and Message allow enhanced control over the view that is selected as users switch between folders and document sets.
Sticky Views
If Sticky Views are enabled the current selected view name will be remembered between libraries. When moving from one library to the next if the destination library has a view matching the one selected in the previous library that view will be automatically selected.
Folder Name Views
If Folder Name Views are enabled and the name of the selected folder or document set matches a view name in the library, the view with the matching name will be automatically selected. This includes where the view matches the folder or document set name with an additional ‘s’. For example if the folder name is ‘Email’ the ‘Email’ or ‘Emails’ view will be automatically selected.
If both 'Sticky Views' and 'Folder Name Views' are enabled the 'Sticky Views setting takes precedence over the 'Folder Name View'.
